Would you like to have the rewarding experience of leading a support group? Now could be a great time to do It!
The QCPA is looking for volunteer members to lead groups virtually or in person. Several formats are possible: small or large groups; sharing experiences and discussion, or with presentations followed by a group discussion.
You choose the format that suits you.
Your role will be to:
- Prepare and moderate informative and engaging presentations on topics relevant to members
- Facilitate dynamic group discussions, encouraging participation and ensuring that all voices are heard
- Provide emotional support and share resources with participants
- Create a safe, inclusive environment where participants can learn, share experiences and support each other
Experience is not required—anyone who is interested can apply. You will receive training and support from a mentor, and will have access to materials (topics, presentations, instructions, etc.), to facilitate meetings virtually via Zoom or in a location to be determined for in-person meetings.
Groups can start at any time during the year. The schedule is at your discretion.
