The mission of the Quebec Chronic Pain Association (QCPA) is to improve quality of life and reduce isolation for those living with chronic pain in Quebec.

If you feel the need to talk, to confide in someone, or if you’d like some information, call us or leave a message and the ressource person will get back to you. The support line is available Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

  • Joining a community of people who care about your pain
  • Helping the QCPA raise awareness and recognition for chronic pain in Quebec.

Information about pain

The International Association for the Study of Pain notes that pain “can be defined as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage.” Pain is deeply personal and subjective. Unlike a fever, which a thermometer can objectively measure, there is no tool to objectively measure the pain you are experiencing.
